“The original Pi Zero was brilliant but lacked connectivity. The addition of wireless networking solves this issue. The only 'problem' is that you can only order one at a time!”

“Bought to do a specific job running 24/7 down loading from, and posting to, the internet every 30 minutes, the Zero W has performed the task for three weeks without a hiccup. Keeps cool even in a Pibow case although it is headless.
The wifi is far better than expected working well a fair distance from the router over VNC allowing editing the Python script while the script is still running.
I have dropped to four star rating because the Zero is noticeably slower than a Pi2 over VNC. Whether this is communications or hardware I don’t know but it does not appear to affect the 24/7 task.”
“This is a great base for building IOT gadgets.
I have so far built an internet radio into the cace of an old upcycled broken radio. I have also used another on to build a Amature Radio HotSpot for DMR & D-Star. The only downside is that ypu can only buy one at a time. I would have bought 6 if I could as I have many other projects in mind. Unfortunately one can no longer buy small SD cards as most of my projects can run on a 4gig or 8gig SD card.”
