“Bought to be a remote network administration tool. Due to its size and low power, it can be strapped to the back of and powered by the ADSL router and set to connect home on bootup. Works really well and reliably. Great product!”
“This is a pretty nifty little thing, which I hoped would be perfect for my "memory card backup device", but my tests show very poor results when transferring files from one USB device to another through a OTG hub as well as a powered USB 3.0 hub connected to the OTG port. This was somewhat dissapointing, as my old Raspberry Pi Model B rev 2 – which has similar specs to the Zero – can transfer the same files over its USB 2.0 hub at twice the speed. But it's a great little device nonetheless, and I am sure I can find a project fitting its small form factor and slower transfer speeds.”
“I need 10 x Raspberry Pi Zero & 10 x Raspberry Pi Zero W.
To start with the system does not allow multiple order and when I ask the question from customer service through email, I was told I should order has allowed from website. Which means I have to pay postage for each order.
So I ordered 1 x Raspberry Pi Zero & 1 x Raspberry Pi Zero W x 10 and got charged 10 times. And total ordered item was 20.
But when they shipped, they combine my postage to 2 deliveries even though I was charged 10 times.
To even made it worst, I was sent 18 item instead of 20 items.
I got refunded 2 item anyway but was not impressed at the service and unnecessary multiple postage charge if they can combine my postage since it all coming to same address.
So make sure you check your Raspberry Pie Zero W properly because you may be sent Raspberry Pie Zero instead.”
“Needed a solution to collect data from a weather station via a serial port. With the addition of USB to Serial cable and WeeWx software and a Met Office data feed, I have a real time datalogger that publishes weather data from a local reservoir to an external web site.”
