“I bought this to run Pi-Hole; the kit arrived promptly and was very easy to install.. It was very straightforward to set up the RaspberryPi - the default OS configuration was fine and Pi-Hole was also easy to set up.”
“Good value and easy to use straight out of the box. Within ten minutes of delivery I had the system running DNS and DHCP through PiHole and sitting next to my wireless router. Will likely buy again.”
“I’m brand new to Raspberry Pi ownership and this is a great introduction. Gives you everything you need to get started, although I added the excellent keyboard and mouse to match. Will certainly be adding more to the collection, likely a Pi 500, lots to learn but very impressed by the capability of the products.”
“I received the Pi-5 (8Gb) starter kit together with the red & white keyboard and mouse as a Christmas gift. It all went together into the case easily and then loaded up without hassle. The Pi Beginner's Guide is helpful too as it's my first Pi and wanted reassurance on what I was doing.”
“Excellent. Bought the 8GB version. Up and running very quickly. Really well sorted Linux based OS, very windows-like desktop, and the Pi 5 performance is perfectly adequate. Power consumption is low, so good for an always-on machine. Drives my 27 inch 1920 x 1080 monitor easily. choice of browsers (Firefox syncs its setting from my windows machines), LibreOffice for docs, spreadsheets etc, package manager good. I've now also added Apache web-server, with PHP and mySQL and I'm enjoying programming in PHP. Highly recommended. Looking at music servers, so I'll be buying another very soon.”
“Absolutely brilliant purchase.
I used the instructions over at Home Assistant and installed the Home Assistant OS using the raspberry pi SD card installer and my home is automated! Took less than a few minutes to physically put together.
Can't thank the pi hut enough for being so speedy this close to Christmas. Many thanks.”
