“Excellent. Bought the 8GB version. Up and running very quickly. Really well sorted Linux based OS, very windows-like desktop, and the Pi 5 performance is perfectly adequate. Power consumption is low, so good for an always-on machine. Drives my 27 inch 1920 x 1080 monitor easily. choice of browsers (Firefox syncs its setting from my windows machines), LibreOffice for docs, spreadsheets etc, package manager good. I've now also added Apache web-server, with PHP and mySQL and I'm enjoying programming in PHP. Highly recommended. Looking at music servers, so I'll be buying another very soon.”
