“The Pi is great, easy to set up, use on the internet etc.. and especially for writing programs. As an old-timer programmer it is just like the good old days writing a NAS Photo Viewer in Python. Equally the Scratch programming environment (in conjunction with Code Club projects) makes it fun for people of any age with no experience.”
“I bought it to try to create a voip system that can route calls or vm from my home phone to wherever my wife or I happen to be on our mobiles or at work. It is an absolute pain to have to go back to a command line as I am so used to windows, I do have a gui with freePBX. Impressive bit of kit especially comparing it to my first computer, an Intel 8085 SDK with 6 character 7 segment display and a hex keypad plus reset button.”
