Bought as a birthday present for my 14yrs to get him away from his games console....he's hooked already, best investment for aspiring coders.

Excellent value for the top of the range Pi whilst the drought is on. I looked everywhere for a replacement after I fried the video chip in my 4gb pi4. Even Cash Converters were selling a secondhand 8gb for £115. At £15 cheaper this came with the sd card and hdmi plus other bits. Shame the boards on their own aren't available but thank you Pi Hut for not gouging us and sticking to the original principle of the Raspberry Pi.

My initial disappointment (when running other than the supplied microsd) vanished when I used a fast microsd card in the Pi4. Splendid value and performance. I now have it in a very early Pitop casing that provides screen, keyboard and touch pad to which Pi4 is only connected via HDMI and USB, with separated power supplies. I cannot find anywhere a short enough male to male HDMI to mini HDMI cable to suit and so the generous length of the starter kit’s HDMI cable is an annoyance in this special case.

Very surprised at how powerful these little Pi's are. I bought it to replace a laptop that was constantly overheating and shutting down. So far it has outperformed the laptop and stays cool. I've installed Ubuntu 22.04 LTS onto a USB 3.0 thumb drive and it all boots and runs from this perfectly. Very impressed
