“just bought another tv (kept the old one for another room) bought a second pi 2 media kit within a couple of months... both work flawlessly, do i need to say anymore”
“Raspberry have made a greatly improved product in version 2. With the improved speed and memory this is now very usable as a media device around the home.”
“I bought this to test lock free algorithms on a multicore architecture with a relaxed memory model. There is nothing else anywhere near this price that can do this. It is limited by the 1GB memory and 32 bit processor - you couldn't use it seriously - but as a test platform it's great.”
“Very happy with media centre kit to date (after couple of months use). Only suggestion would be to replace the power supply with a powered USB hub that can power the Pi as well as hook up a portable hard drive (most hard drives cannot be powered by the USB ports of the Pi). I used the official Pi USB hub to drive a 1 TB drive which has various media I have accumulated over the years. The hub also powers the Pi without any noticeable problems to date, eliminating the need for the power supply that comes with this kit.”
“i was recomended by a friend who had purchased one so i did also he than set it up for me and all i can say is i am very impressed with this product thanks a lot.”
