“The base come with standoffs that do not directly work with pi5. Connections were easy and worked out of the box. A quick edit of config has the pi boot from nvme no problem.
Would help if standoff method included”
“Really loved this nvme base. Great instructions and very easy to assemble. There is a list of nvme's that are known to work with the base but I used an old transcend unit that worked great. All stand offs and screws were included as was the connection cable. The only niggle I had was the connection cable itself as I found I slightly obscured the SD card slot but I used some plastic tweezers and that solved the problem.”
“Plugs in easy enough and the my nvme drive is working perfectly. I have the OS running off it. The board / cables are all decent enough. Delivery was faster than I was expecting.
I thought that the cable hadn't been posted for a bit though, but it was just caught in one of the folds of the packet. Had to rip the thing apart to find it xD”

“It just works! Connectors and stand-offs are fiddly - I needed glasses, light and tweezers. Providing 1 extra of each of the small bits is a good precaution from Pimoroni :-)
I preloaded a recommended NvME on an external enclosure and then just assembled it as per the instructions.
Done.
