“This case is a great addition to my new raspberry pi B+, however is very hard to make as the instructions can be confusing, some images may help people who are confused as too where to put attach each piece.”
“I got myself a Pi because I wanted to learn coding and a bit about electronics. A retro game emulator was a bonus! This has done the trick, along with the starter pack from freenove. A gentle introduction to getting going with the Pi and Raspbian.”
“This is a great case, may be the only one that allows direct GPIO access. However, the temperature of my RPi 3B+ in idle mode was 53 C, which is unusually high (it must be about 44 C). Most probably WiFi chip or motherboard accumulates heat, that can't escape the case. So I put all four nuts under the top slice (to make a gap between slices) and used the spare (fifth) nut to screw the last slice somehow. Temp (in idle mode) went down to 47 C, which is fine. Also, at the bottom there are not enough vents. If you want to put a heat-sink on the RAM chip you need very slim one (I tested a ~4 mm high heat-sink which doesn't fit). Again a little gap between bottom slices will help a lot, but I don't have such slim discs or nuts (1-2 mm) at hand.”
“My only complaint was that the software I used on the previous model Mk 3B would not boot up on the Mk 3B+. Had to re-install Rasbian and then all was OK”
