An absolutely great bit of fun kit. Works really well and has a lot of addons supported, such as the Lora + GNSS cap. I just wish my eyesight was as good as it used to be, as some apps use really tiny fonts.

This is an upgrade from the 1.1 version of the Cardputer, one noticable addition is the GPIO port on the top for your cap addons, such as the LoRa cap, giving GPS capabilities to the Cardputer ADV. Nice bit of kit.

A lot of fun. Very customisable. A bit of a learning curve, but that's good, isn't it? Price is great for what you get. Battery life is good.

Buyer “Cardputer ADV with Lora Module Excellent products designed by M5Stack. Cardputer works well with the available firmware on M5Burner. Have also written a couple of applications using Arduino and the compile well and flash the Cardputer directly from the IDE. Even though the display is small it is very readable. Have tried GPS & Meshtastic apps with the Lora module attached. Current consumption with the module attached is higher and the battery life is shorter. Have measured current consumption of various applications & battery charging current too. Battery rated at 1750mAh. For example M5Launcher Application when in standby Screen on 127mA Screen Off 79mA M5 Supplied Demo application 153mA With Lora module attached M5Launcher Screen On 170mA Screen Off 135mA Could not measure Meshtastic application current because of the voltage drop through my test meter even when using 10A range due to the voltage drop on the battery leads/test meter leads causing "brown out" reset on the voltage monitoring in the Cardputer. Ok when battery connected normally. Noticed this especially when using the Speaker driver as the current peaks on the internal audio amplifier causes "brown outs" again. Measured battery charging current peaks 256mA This reduces slowly even when battery voltage gets to 100%, but this depends on the application definition of fully charged! All in all a very good product and useful device to play with especially when using the Lora/GPS module.
