“I'm a fairly experienced tinkerer with all things pi and pico, but this is just such a fun way to spend the morning before heading to work with a wee self-contained project every morning. It's very well put together, well packaged and has excellent supporting documentation. Really hope that PiHut carry this on in to subsequent years; it's a great way to build up a basic collection of components.”
“A nice little set of components for playing with microcontrollers, I'm posting this on day 2 and the latest project involved making LEDs flash. I like the concept and it is encouraging me to do all of the activities rather than skipping to the end. My only request for next year would be to go with a Pico W.”
“It’s been bought as a gift for my 11 year old grandson who is keen on learning coding. I know little about these things but I’m sure he wil get great fun from it. He needs a better laptop now.”
“I think it is a brilliant idea! I'm using it with an iMac running macOS Monterey, which means some minor differences from Windows. When first connecting with BOOTSEL held down, Thonny displays "Local Python 3 . Thonny's Python” at lower right, so click on latter. Target volume is: "/Volumes/RPI-RP2”, Port Setting is: “/dev.cu.usbmodem14601". Remember to click "Run" to test a program. If Mac ejects Disk, plug it back in.”
