“Love it. I'm a trainee computer science teacher, this one little kit is giving me so many ideas for my placements. It's priceless for me as its practically an entire terms worth of projects all for less than £50”
“Looks good so far. I've only done day 1 so far with the rest having to wait till the Christmas holiday when I have some time to spend on it. Beautifully packaged and the hints of what's coming ahead that I've seen on twitter is heightening the anticipation. Would make a great gift to the techie in your life.”
“We are only on day 4 so far as we are taking it slow, great selection of components with good instructions that help to get things working but ask us enough questions that we feel like we are thinking and encourage us to tinker. 7 year old and dad thoroughly enjoying ourselves here!”
“This was a daily surprise from start to finish. I own every version of RPi, but never the pico (what would I use that for?). Its versatility was put on display (in more ways than one!) in this neat package. Each day was a simple component, with code already written on the accompanying website. For those who have just enough time to take over the kitchen table before the evening family dinner, it is perfect - get in and get out quickly. But for those who wished to spend more time exploring the code of micropython, it did that admirably. There is some great kit here, including components I had never used before (and I am a lightly seasoned hobbyist), thoughtfully explained, and encouraging for some to explore and take risks. There were one or two issues on some imported libraries, but with persistence, they could be solved. Suitably priced for what you get (including helpful support if needed). A well-planned and executed advent project, and I recommend this to any who wish to explore programming with electronics with an emphasis on fun, and a cheeky 'what happens when I...'. Nice one PiHut!”
“This seemed like an exciting change from the usual beer-type advent calendar with something to build & code. After a decade as a python developer, this is the first time I've used micro python.
Having done the first 2 days, setting up the Pico was easy and building an LED circuit to code some light sequences was interesting to see how simple that is! Looking forward to seeing what the rest of it entails & maybe building something to use around the house in future!”
