“I'm building an OpenScan Mini 3D scanner and this is one of the recommended cameras. Picture quality is good and the auto-focus works well. I upgraded from an earlier V2 camera and didn't spot that they'd changed the connector but PiHut supplied a suitable cable in a couple of days and all is good.”
“High quality photos with easy steps to follow! Forget about 5MP or 2MP if you want to see clearly what’s on the camera! The only thing you need to pay attention to is choosing the right driver (or setting) and inserting the cable correctly. There is no LED on the camera indicating it’s working or not and you don’t know what’s happening when Pi OS says no camera available. It’s good to follow the instructions on Arducam website. Enjoy!”
“Arrived promptly. Impressed with the quality of the stills. It was harder to take videos with the picamera2 library and I'm still working on this. Autofocus is slower than I think it should be but this maybe due to my settings. Overall, I'm very happy and it's turning into an interesting project.”
“I wanted to use a RasberryPi to take some pictures outdoors later. I fitted the camera to a RPi 4 then updated the software, it worked. Then I used the camera as a test in various configurations they were al successful the picture quality was excellent. Now all I want is for spring to come when my RPi will be used inside a hedge to take bird pictures.
The service from Pi-Hut was superb the camera was dispatched as expected and arrived well packed.”
