“Received the first board and it was missing the firmware so it was unusable, and the replacement was exactly the same. Not the fault of PiHut, but unfortunately it seems to be a 50/50 chance whether the item will work or not.”

“Very nice board, I've put some starcraft sounds on it and am triggering them semi-randomly with a microbit - a lot of fun for a while ("Nuclear launch detected!" :) ) Half of the effort required to get this running is in wiring and programming, and the other half in preparing sound clips. Sound quality is better than I expected, but I only tried if with 20years old game's .wav samples. I'm glad I picked the 16MB version, if I would need another one I would pick the version without the mini jack connector and would buy an extra mini speaker with it, as in my current setup the speaker I'm using has separate power source and this is great for tests and for fun, but probably not ideal for "permanent" builds.”
