“Love the matrix display and the amination suite that arduino provide. The wifi module opens up a load of possibility ans obviously the increased storage over the uno means your projects can be bigger and more impressive.”
“I get asked to write a review for everything I buy. This has to stop. I tried to use the Uno as a condiment, but it was useless for this. It also makes a very poor doorstop due to being lightweight and is not edible either. It seems to work best for its intended purpose as a microcontroller.”
“Excellent product. Used as a direct replacement for my existing Arduino with no changes required. The most basic update was the use of the USB C cable to update the program on the Arduino. Reviewing the opportunities for the new features may bring to my basic CNC project.
Great service from the PiHut, from the email notifying me that the board was in stock, followed up by the very quick service and delivery after ordering.”
“i like new toys so got one to play with
the list of compatible shields should be taken with a pinch of salt, all the shields i have tested seem to work
and I2C stuff seems to work nicely,
the only negatives i can see is if you use any shields they cover the LED array so the LED array may be of limited use, and some libraries may need to be updated for some sensor / shields to be used
not tried the WiFi yet, but a cracking bit of kit for the price”
“Honestly, I haven't had time to run this up yet as I've been moving and updating my lab. What I can say is that it arrived super fast (that's why I wasn't ready). I was well packaged and the Uno box was in pristine condition.”
“I’ve had a play around with it & I really like what it has to offer. Just sorting out exactly what project/s I can put it into. Will take a photo of it in action at a later date.”
“The Uno R4 WiFi is in a way not an Uno. The Minima version might be closer to the original Uno. The fact that the WiFi version has an ESP32 built onto it, makes it more complicated. But I like the way they have designed it. From the Arduno software side, they have made it, so that it works as one unit. No need for seperate sketches for the Renesas chip and the ESP chip. The information for programming the board is still in its early stages. It still requires some digging to find some information. But as more people get to use this board and get to know it more, I'm sure the information and example sketches with increase a lot.”
