Not the greatest speakers, but very easy to set up with home assistant and customise.

It's so good I bought another. Having had reservations when I purchased my first Voice PE then discovering that it was so much better than I was led to believe it was by the nay sayers on social media I have purchased a second. There will probably be more as I slowly roll out voice to every room in the house. I'm using this with Home Assistant on a Pi4 and the Wyoming voice stack running as a service on a Pi5 with added HAT+ 2 and the rather interestinbg Hailo-10H AI processor. Response times are good with some scripted commands (mostly in Node-Red) hitting sub-second whilst unscripted commands which fall back on the AI can take appreciably longer. All in all it's very usable with an excellent WAF.

Great piece of kit, now I'm able to replace Alexa in our home and keep my data local!

This integrates seamlessely with the Home Assistant Green. Just scan the QR code and follow the setup. It has a set of different coloured led rings to indicate status and you can choose from 3 different 'wake words'. There is a USB-C port to allow connection to a speaker, though if this is not used a dialogue will show up on your screen. I'm guessing you could configure one in every room to make a useful interactive system.

Excellent product. I now own several units after initially purchasing one to test with Home Assistant. The “Hey Nabu” wake word has proven to be the most reliably recognised in my setup. As others have noted, “OK Jarvis” is less consistent. The speaker output quality is perfectly adequate for its intended purpose—clear enough for voice feedback and responses. Once you’ve properly configured intents and sentence-based automations via Home Assistant’s Assist pipeline, this becomes an extremely powerful interface. In fact, it now exceeds the functionality I previously relied on from Amazon’s Alexa ecosystem.

Connection to home assistant was very easy. Up and speaking in minutes. The only downside is the quality of the speaker having been used to Alexa.

The hardware looks well made although the internal speaker is a bit lacking and the wake words seem to have a lot of false positives, I tried it with hey Mycroft and ok nabu as the “ok Jarvis” just didn't seem to work I will persevere with it for the time being!
