“This integrates seamlessely with the Home Assistant Green. Just scan the QR code and follow the setup. It has a set of different coloured led rings to indicate status and you can choose from 3 different 'wake words'. There is a USB-C port to allow connection to a speaker, though if this is not used a dialogue will show up on your screen.
I'm guessing you could configure one in every room to make a useful interactive system.”
“Excellent product. I now own several units after initially purchasing one to test with Home Assistant.
The “Hey Nabu” wake word has proven to be the most reliably recognised in my setup. As others have noted, “OK Jarvis” is less consistent. The speaker output quality is perfectly adequate for its intended purpose—clear enough for voice feedback and responses.
Once you’ve properly configured intents and sentence-based automations via Home Assistant’s Assist pipeline, this becomes an extremely powerful interface. In fact, it now exceeds the functionality I previously relied on from Amazon’s Alexa ecosystem.”
“The hardware looks well made although the internal speaker is a bit lacking and the wake words seem to have a lot of false positives, I tried it with hey Mycroft and ok nabu as the “ok Jarvis” just didn't seem to work I will persevere with it for the time being!”
“Easy to set up and connect (I already had Home Assistant, and the Voice Assistant settings in Home assistant set up)
Looks good, wake word detection works well.
You can easily adjust the LED brightness and colour from Home Assistant”
