“This is my second Home Assistan Voice Preview Edition, Ther most annoying this about the Home Assistant Voice Preview Edition is the fact the there is no Power cable in the box, it is so frustrating youu have to spend ages looking for a cable, wheat other products dont come witha power cable ?”
“Good delivery time, looks great. It is definitely different from other home assistants in that it has no time for conversation, and it can be occasionally easily triggered- but it works as expected. I need to upgrade my HA pi to get the full benefit”
“Great start but will wait until the final product ships before buying more. Is replacing a Google home mini and with this you have to pause between the wake word and instruction. Live the idea of adding extra features with the gpio pins though!”
“It's so good I bought another. Having had reservations when I purchased my first Voice PE then discovering that it was so much better than I was led to believe it was by the nay sayers on social media I have purchased a second. There will probably be more as I slowly roll out voice to every room in the house. I'm using this with Home Assistant on a Pi4 and the Wyoming voice stack running as a service on a Pi5 with added HAT+ 2 and the rather interestinbg Hailo-10H AI processor. Response times are good with some scripted commands (mostly in Node-Red) hitting sub-second whilst unscripted commands which fall back on the AI can take appreciably longer. All in all it's very usable with an excellent WAF.”
