Really pleased with this HatDrive. Have it fitted inside my Pi5 official case with the active cooler added and powering the Pinedrive 256Gb NVMe. Makes the Pi feel much faster when it caches to the drive, for example when browsing the Internet and playing videos. I have not used the recommended boot order as the drive is a fixed internal drive. My Pi looks for an SD card, then a USB drive then the NVMe. Makes booting a little slower but the Pi is quick to boot anyway. I can then choose to boot off other media if I wish to.

Very easy to set up, booting from the drive is done just as for the official Pi NVME HAT. I really like how small the board is, and you can use it with the official Pi 5 cooler as well. It works perfectly with a Samsung PM991a.

Perfect size for the Offical Raspbery PI 5 case. It does need the offical Active Cooler (not the cooler that comes with the case) to keep things at a reasonable temperature.

Great item, just remember to allign the arrows on the flex cable, otherwise will not power on. For this price get rid of slow micro sd cards ha ha.

While the HatDrive Nano was fine there were no instructions on its use or installation. The board does not fit into the standard case with the standard fan. So, a new fan is required. I, unfortunately, damaged the NVMe connector on the PI5 trying to fit the cable. Now I need another PI5. This was caused by lack of clear instructions and a fragile miniature connector. The board does not appear to power up. I am not sure if this is because I haven't activated NVMe or if it is caused by a poor cable connection caused by a broken latch. A clear set of installation instructions are necessary here. Finally, I'm left with quite a few bits of hardware that are probably not required. They were probably needed for a different installation. So, the item is fine, but the documentation is sadly lacking and my HAT drive nano is not functioning yet. I have not had a good experience.
