I wanted to automate my smart blinds and light with them opening and closing at sunset and sunrise. likewise with the light. I also wanted to control my heating and other smart plugs from the apple carplay in the car. Although it was a very steep learning curve the Home Assistnt green does it superbly.

Fast Delivery, worked perfectly out of the box. Looks like a quality piece of kit. Perfect, with HA installed and ready to go.

I bought this to increase the access to real time data steams from my solar inverter and to that add all the home smart devices, from various manufacturers, onto one home screen. This has greatly imporved the access to real time information and using a tablet, gives a central point to set and monitor all aspects of heating, cooling and power around the home. There is a ton of information and scripts available online to get the Home Assistant set up just as you want it, quickly and easily. Within one hour it was all configured and running sweetly.

The most amazing bit of tech. So simple but allows you to control tech in your house and allow devices to interact with each other.

Being brand new to this device and HA there is something of a steep learning curve ahead of me! Whilst it's relatively easy to get set up getting my Sunsynk connected looks daunting ATM. You need to be somewhat pi literate to wade easily thru the various pieces of code and routines to have a functioning HA. Tbh not sure why we can't plug and play in the 21st century, but then we'd miss the excitement, apparently.
