“Great quality as always. For some strange reason the os didn't have pi.hole installed, but it was straightforward to download. I added several blocklists from GitHub and now it intercepts over 40% of ads.”
“Delighted with the Pi-hole kit: was pretty easy to set up (once I'd found some online instructions for the case…) and I got the software up and running very easily once I'd plugged everything in. It's now chugging away happily as the DNS server for our household wifi – I will probably buy a second one as a backup at some point.
The one point I would raise for potential purchasers is that you do need to have some confidence in how to find and implement online instructions. No instructions are provided in the box, so I had to search for a YouTube video on how to install the Pi in the case. Similarly, you'll need to look online for instructions on how to set up Pi-hole on your Raspberry Pi. Don't expect a "plug-and-play" consumer product, is I guess what I'm saying.”
“This is SO easy to set up. Literally just put it in its case, plug in the peripherals and go. No need to download any ISOs because the SD card is already preloaded with the OS. Now that I have a mini server blocking all ads and malware for my home network I feel much safer. And am now considering using it as a VPN server so that I can feel safe everywhere I go.”
