The kit is excellent - well packed and easy to put together. It all worked first time and I had no problems getting pihole on there as I wanted.

It works, but frankly it's just a collection of bit and not really a kit. There are no instructions. A ready programmed card would have been nice so I didn't have to connect a keyboard, mouse and screen just to set it up so I could piconnect to control it from my PC. I'm a bit dubious about the "heat sinking" sticker that connects the board to the aluminium box. It seems a bit thick to conduct heat when you're used to thermal compound. Oh and where is the pretty case sticker supposed to go.

Really simple to step up following the instructions on the raspberry pi website. Excellent support when I had a hardware problem too so overall great product and great experience. Unfortunately my router doesn't allow the pi-hole to be set as DNS server or DHCP provider so I manually point devices to the pi-hole. As a layman I don't know the real performance difference if any in these but if too much hastle maybe check if your router allows the first two options before purchase

Good product when I finally got it to work. Did not appear to boot up as expected. After a few days struggling, I swapped the provided SD Card with a card that I had prepared for a Computeractive Pi-hole tutorial using a Raspberry Pi Zero WH. I couldn't get that to work either, which I now believe may have been a power issue. The SD card I had prepared worked fine, & continues to work. I appreciate that both of my failures may have been my lack of experience and knowledge, but I am eventually in a position to try some other projects. Regarding Pi-hole, this is a great ad blocker across my network, but also interesting to see so much activity - even from our Smart TV! A few issues clicking through links in emails - such as an offer for a magazine subscription - but eventually found a menu option to turn off blocking for a time.
