“I've bought two of these in total; the first one lasted 9 months and the second 13.
They work great for a while but don't expect them to be a fit and forget item!
Mine are in use 24/7/365 using about 4.6W of power so well within the 2.4A specs.”
“Works as expected. Usb-C connector isn't the greatest quality.
Note that if the device connected to the usb port can negotiate power that the device doesn't limit the power to the available PoE power but will attempt to supply the whole 2.5A even if this then causes the PoE port to be overloaded and shut down.”
“Yes, it is only 5V @ 2.4A, but I got this to connect a USB C phone to my home PoE switch which has a UPS to keep it alive during power outages. It is so I can keep a phone charged in a power failure and does that job just fine. The device gets fairly warm to the touch, but that should be no surprise as it is stepping down PoE voltage to just 5V.”
“Real game changer for me. Combined with a PoE switch I can save a lot of space in the network cabinet with the added bonus of remote power cycling if needed in an emergency.”
