“For the price this is a solid performing antenna. Its reassuringly heavy and sturdy and the mast clamp works well. I have another larger 1090 antenna that cost several times more and this one isn't far off at all when the two are compared. Usually cheap means rubbish but not in this case.”
“I bought this quite a while ago and have only just installed it. Sadly, it has to go on a window sill, using a magnetic mount. This antenna is picking up so many more aircraft and from a bigger range too.
Max range went from 203 to 327 miles. A/C hits went from 243K to 1,337K, A/C seen went from 585 to 1,417. Very happy and a good investment at the price. if only I could get ity on the roof top.......”
“Bought this aerial to replace the 3dBi ADS-B 1090Mhz SMA Antenna w/ Magnetic Base I bought about a year ago, wow what a difference. I was getting about 1400-1500 aircraft per day, today I have seen 2456 so far, and a range of 213nm compared to 79 with the whip aerial, and at the moment the aerial is only propped up in the corner of my window (inside).
I have also have one fitted externally on a 15ft pole and I get range of 246nm.
Fantastic upgrade at very good (cheap) price, unbelievable value for money.”
“Great Antenna very well made picking up Aircraft at 120 miles with the Antenna sitting inside on the window cill just received a satellite mounting bracket which is perfect for mounting the Antenna as it’s going to be installed on the brickwork near the apex of the roof I imagine the range will double if not more
