“Great looking antenna; think it will last on my roof. My only comment is if you want to cover the connector with tape or something to add a bit of extra protection to the cable connection then the supplied base plate gets in the way a little. I would recommend that you remove it to add the tape and reassemble. Not recommended when you are up on the roof though if you can avoid it as dropped nuts tend to bounce down the roof picking up speed never to be seen again!”

“I built a ground plane ariel, cost me less than £3 I was getting a range of 125 miles from that, thinking buying one would greatly improve range, I was wrong, an extra 15 miles, more than disapointed mounted in the same place too.”

“Excellent antenna at a decent price, the ones on Amazon were more, nice bracket and U-bolts for installation to an extender pole. I installed mine onto an aluminium pole I had spare in the shed then onto a bespoke bracket that fixed to the chimney(see photo)overall very pleased with the purchase.”

“Wow! What a difference. After carefully thinking about installation fof a few days, I installed it yesterday on the top of a Velux window above my office. See photo. Initially the pole was two feet in length, which would have taken it over the ridge but there was too much stress on the panel. I had to reinforce the mounting, I am in Cornwall at 300 feet above sea level. and it gets very windy down here. The performance is amazing and today it reached 235nm over France!. I am also picking up planes over the west of Ireland. I am feeding into Flightradar24. I elected not to use your cable in preference to the LMR-240 as recommended in one of your reviews. The cable length is 3m. My equipment is a Pi 3b+ using Flightradar's Pi24. Overall exceeding expectations by a log way!”
