“All of the XIAO modules are very compact. These XIAO RP2040 modules were purchased for projects that specified these boards due to space constraints. I haven't got around to completing the builds yet but have tested these boards and they work fine.”

once I managed to get it talking to my computer all looks good
now all I have to do is learn to program it,I am totally new to this
so mistakes will be made so far I have the blink set and can get it
to output to two leds which I intend to use for a stepper driver
that has a long idle time so puts the stepper driver into sleep
mode for 2seconds before waking up and taking the next step
thus reducing power usage and as a bonus the stepper stays cool
the cycle can repeat for 8 hours driving my home made star tracker
on two 18650/3000mah batteries.
I call this a win.
