“Works very well in its intended application in a HighPi case with and IQaudio DAC. I found this article to be quite helpful in controlling the fan. As its quite noisy running at 100%, its handy to be able to run it on a lower duty cycle where its quieter. I ended up with piece of Python code that runs every time the Pi boots (into OSMC).

“Works very well with a raspberry pi 4 with an iqaudio DAC on top. A bit noisy at full blast but with the appropriate script and settings you’ll hardly ever need it spinning. Very easy to set up on the official OS and works with a bit of tinkering on Volumio.”
“When the instructions say instal the control (blue) wire on pin 8, remember that this is GPIO 14 - can be useful to ensure that it is properly controlled. Fan seems a bit noisy when operating at max speed but it shouldn't be in that condition too often.”
“Fits in the HighPi Pro Case snugly, clean, easy connection to power and sense lines.
Audible, but not noisy. Keeps the CPU temperature down, 50 measured.
Good addition”
