“Great kit ! I would have given 5 stars but for 3 reasons :1. The booklet however nice it might be , is no longer completely actual. I, think you better consult the site aiyprojects.withgoogle.com if you like to avoid frustration. 2. the box is not really very handy , once it is completed , your Pi is located at the bottom an almost totally unattainable for altenative connection on the voice hat. 3. Google tries to make you set up an account which most of us will never need.
Then for the frightening bit : I think mankind is not at all prepared for the use of AI en robotics. The social , educational and emotional implications are totally out of our control. We can not afford to have human evolution going on at 1000 year increments will technical evolution is moving at warp speed. But maybe that's only the imagination of a dinosaur that lived through punchcards and magnetic tapes.

“Very satisfied. Easy to assemble and configure. Worked first time after assembly. The only problem I have had has been around finding the right support information. Most of the forums and search sites contain information that relates to an earlier release of the Voice Kit which really confused me. Many of the scripts/code refer to files/services etc that do not exist on the latest version. It has taken me many hours of wasted effort trying to find a way to start the Pi/Voice kit on power up so that I can use it completely free of any attached peripherals or a VNC connected viewer.
My next step will be to add a power off button with a controlled safe shutdown. After that we will start experimenting with controlling switches, lights, motors, servos etc. Then Robotics!!!.”
