“As already noticed the instructions refer to a completely different kind of button. This is not a big issue anyway, you could easily find the correct instructions on the web. The problem is that the led doesn't work. I can't really make it light. I think anyway it could be a software issue. Definitely something is missing from the image downloaded via the link in the manual. For instance the /home/pi/.config folder is empty, it shouldn't. Also running the command: src/assistant_grpc_demo.py I've noticed an error message: WARNING:status_ui:File /tmp/status-led-specified for --led-fifo does not exist. I don't know if this could be related but maybe it's an hint.”

However it is let down by instructions that are partially incorrect.
The buttton assembly instructions on pages 28 and 29 are totally wrong, using completely different components that leave you puzzled with little idea of how to assemble it and how wires should be connected. Luckily I found a video on youtube which sent me into the right direction, otherwise i would not have been able to complete the task. Despite that, the button light is still not working ... will have to take a second look.”
“The button is different in the kit of what is described in the instruction guide. So it's a bit hard to know if the wires are on the correct pins of the button. Can we have some insights/tips please ?”
“Love the magazine and love the AIY project. I need another PI because with version B (just one processor) is extremely slow ! Need to test it with my B+ PI !
