Pros: big button is appealing, fun to setup quickly, it works. Cons: The speaker is pretty feeble, the cardboard gets dirty from the grease from your hands - consider applying a cover such as sticky back transparent film.

There were errors in the project document in two areas that caused some confusion but after a Google search I found others with the same problem who had solutions. Firstly, the big button supplied in my kit is different to the one in the document. It needed some thought and trials to make this work. Secondly, the document says LEDs will light up on initially powering the device, this being a verification check that it is correctly assembled. This is not so. The LEDs only light up when the appropriate APIs are correctly running. This did waste a lot of time until Google search found others with the same problem. All in all, I was very pleased with the project when I finished it.

Nice and fun project. Shame that the parts included didn’t match the ones in the instruction Manual. So needed some digging on the internet to find out how to setup.

I was very happy with the arrival of the kit and was impressed by the book that came with it. However, when it came to putting it together it got frustrating when installing the button. The button hardware is different to that in the book and required a Google search. That search returns a lot of pages replicating the book. The only pages that had the new button were from home enthusiasts and even then the instructions were not very clear how to assemble and wire it. In my opinion the example scripts could be better organised and written and in some cases still don't work in the way that they are coded. Overall it is ok, but there were more annoyances than I expected of something that is produced in collaboration with Google.
