“I use a lot of these in conjunction with the Proto PCBs also sold by The Pi Hut. They team up nicely with the in-line on/off power switch for 2.1mm barrel jacks and the DC barrel jack splitter cables/squids. This allows me to have a standard power setup for multiple modules and projects. These jack sockets take solder well and have a solid fitting. They don't fall apart or become loose after repeated insertion and removal of the jack either.”

I don't use these with breadboards but solder them to perfboard, matrix board and stripboard. They provide a secure, standard and convenient way of connecting power to a project.
