“I have not run a Rpi model 4 without these heat sinks, but what I can say it still runs rather hot compared to my other models. 60 deg C typical (even after disabling USB/LAN) and it has reached 76+ deg C under load. This is unenclosed. From what I've read, it seems a fan is the most reliable way to keep the temperature down.”
