I have a box of R-Pi accessories, but this is by far my favourite so far. Well designed, you have the choice of using a fan or not, and feels quite durable. Definitely value for money, as well as a good quality product.

The SmartPi Touch 2 case is well-designed with several options for how it can be configured. It can be fitted with the included fan and either Lego, camera or plain from panel pieces. My only comment would be that it would be nice if the fan was also supplied with self-adhesive heat sinks for the processor and WiFi chips. The Pi boards fit securely and the Official Pi 7” touch display integrates well with this case.

Nice and robust case with good engineering in behind. Good and nice plastics quality and embedded VESA and PI mounting washers/screws. I found it easy to assemble but it's good to keep the manuals open as the ribbons are not so obvious to guide and connect correctly. Other issue may be an SD card replacement. This cover definitely has no straight access to SD which is good for applications where you want to protect it from getting SD out quickly by some unwanted persons. Pi touch display is well aligned on the frame sides. For me it’s really a nice piece of work. Note that they produce also additional covers for back to get better cooling or get the hats hidden. I especially like the option (inside of this package) for connecting LEGO to the front.

This case turned out to be quite nice. Has a sleek appearance and I like the way it puts the camera right in front. The hing between the base and main case is a little stiff, but I like the versitility of being able to mount by VESA arm or screw the base to something. For the Pi4, the ribbon cable routing for the camera and the display is a bit off center and so awkward and fiddly, but manageable. The fan is a nice option, but it would be better if there was a grill covering the blades. The default install leaves the Pi ports rather exposed, but the optional back cover looks like it takes care of that.

Grabbed one of these with the deep back cover as I wanted to include an M2 SSD inside. Be sure to get screen cable right way up - the contacts on the screen end should be 'up' with the blue face up at the far end ready to connect to the Pi. Used the connecter cables from my original case to supply power from the Pi to the screen instead of the supplied splitter cable - using official power supply Bored a hole in the back cover to take the supplied fan and connected to +3.3V to test cooling Ran stress -c 4 for 600s and temp peaked at 68C with no throttling I now have a very tidy setup with the USB cable for the SSD looping back into the case and just a single power cable at the base.
