“Read all about it on the pages and at the end I have ordered. Received in good packing so in good condition and satisfied with the product. Up to now I have been trying to cool my Raspberry pi's with noisy fans. Now I have no noise, Pi does not get heated up and Kodi is not slowing or sagging.”
“Being made from aluminium, the tolerances on this case are better than some of the plastic ones I’ve used in the past. Simply put the Pi 4 in at an angle (to get the power/HDMI ports into the holes and then drop it in to get it all the mounting holes lined up.
Also despite the warnings about the Pi 4 needing active cooling, and Kodi running a busy loop (it always needs a chunk of CPU) my Pi 4 with this case runs 10-15C cooler than the Pi B I used before (heatsink plus plastic case with drilled cooling holes).
The one downside with this case is that while the GPIO pins are technically accessible, it’s definitely not hat compatible, and any wiring needs to be doubled over to be routed down the side of the case and out of the bottom. On the other hand if you are using your Pi for HTPC, NAS, or desktop duties then you probably don’t need GPIO access!”
“This is a well-made case, although I didn't realise just how bold and brash the Kodi branding on the top would be. I would much rather have had a plain case, but unfortunately alternative aluminium models were out of stock when I ordered.”
