The best combination for passive cooling and design. The whole aluminum’s chassis is a big heatsink. Perfect for creating a Media Center or a Desktop PC. GPIO is no longer accessible after mounting. Thus, not suitable for other purposes where GPIO is required.

This is an excellent case for keeping the processor cool even in recent hot weather. Initially used an official case with a large stick on heat sink, this frequently resulted in throttling (even with the top off the case). No throttling with this new case. Good build quality, like the black case.

Looks smart. Comes with heatsink and thermal pad so the temperature of my HOOBS setup stays between 38-43 degrees.

it’s pretty good quality, but the disadvantages are: for high cpu loads passive cooling provided by this case is not ebough. Memory chip is not cooled. Top plastic fascia makes insufficient cooling even worse. Had to remove the top plastic fascia and put fan on top of the lid. TV hat can not fit inside (seriously? I thought it was called Kodi case). Given all that, it’s overpriced.

This is an excellent case for keeping the pi cool in all conditions. Of the cases I’ve tried, this one has the pi running at the lowest temperature (between 40 and 50c usually). Nice quality materials and stylish too. Definitely a good upgrade above the official case.

I ordered this case to replace the case with a fan that I had my Raspberry Pi 4 in to get rid of the fan noise. I have my Pi 4 on all the time doing SETI@home & decoding morse code the case does get warm but no so warm you cant touch it, with previous cases with no fan the Pi 4 would just overheat almost right away, the temperature sits at between 60 - 62 C. I ordered the case on Thursday at 23:36pm & it got here on Saturday which very quick.

Love the aluminium cases! Have a couple of the silver ones for my pi3s. Didn’t like the one I had been using on my pi4 previously so bought this one. The design makes it very easy to identify the pi4 and it keeps it cool. Would definitely recommend
