“Well made, discreet looking case.
Being vented and metal helps with cooling.
I like the slot for a gpio ribbon cable, and that a small HAT might fit inside if needed.”
“This is a nicely manufactured metal case with ventilated slots cut into the top. The ventilated metal design helps to passively cool the R-Pi. I performed tests to compare the temperatures when using this KKSB case and a standard plastic R-Pi case. The Pi being stress-tested in the KKSB case stayed 14'C cooler than that running in the standard plastic R-Pi with the top off. Running in the plastic case with the top on caused the Pi to be throttled due to overheating.”
“The one downside is that the case is tricky to disassemble as it takes some force to spread the sides wide enough to allow the retaining slots to clear the base. Having said that it is all metal and has good ventilation slots. Bear in mind that your Pi4 will probably need a fan, mine was showing overheating when not doing much so have installed a Pimoroni fan shim which nicely fits inside the case. The fan shim works fine on Raspbian but Ubuntu needs a change in syscfg.txt.”
