I've tried half a dozen other cases and this is my favourite so far.. Solid, robust, good looking, good ventilation, good value.

I have purchased two other KKSB cases in the past for RP2s and have been delighted with them. This case is just not in the same league. It's manufactured beautifully, but the design could have been given far more thought. Instead of the case being held together by screws, as in previous designs, the two sections sections clip together. The design thinking was probably to simply assembly, and it certainly does that, but there is a major flaw. I have fitted a Pimoroni Fan Shim to keep my Pi cool, but it causes the case to noisily vibrate. Nothing that I have tried has managed to dampen the case vibrations.

The diminutive Raspberry Pi turned up quickly.

You can tell this was designed with a Pi user in mind. That sounds like a silly statement... but looking at many other cases that don't have GPIO slits, marked ports, ventilation, gap between Pi and bottom of case... etc. this is a very nicely designed case with actual pi users in mind. As other have said, it's not the easiest to take apart. The power coating can get scratched inside when assembling, you can't see this though. Also the case rattles when assembled, suppose that's not really an issue though. I'd remove a star for those points but I'm so enamored by the design and usability I'm not going to. You can fit a 5v fan and low profile heatsink inside here, it's not designed for a fan so use tape or ties, but they do fit with room. Not sure about hats, i'm going to try and cram a UPS hat & LIPO inside here one day so i'll pop back and edit this review with results if possible.

Its a reasonably priced case, its not easy to get it on and off and is a risk of damaging ports so its not perfect but once on its a very good fit and looks the part and protects the Pi internals nicely.

Together with the heatsink it makes the Raspberry Pi work under 42*C. I love the product. I found it difficult to detach the top cover from the bottom. You just need to work it out a bit. Other than that, I am happy with it.

This case is scaled to fit the Pi, so is quite small, but really nicely made. If you care about your Pi and want to keep it safe, this is certainly a really good option. First rate customer service too.

Metal case does get hot but that is because I haven’t put the heat sinks on yet
