This is an amazing case for your Raspberry Pi II or PI III. I bought it because it can hold a 2.5" drive and use it with a PI !!! for OpenElec (Kodi). the design is fantastic and I'm running it with a 500 GB WD blue (0.5A) drive. I added a good Startech USB cable and a power switch (from PI Hut). I can watch HD content with low power usage and the box looks great. The ability to attach to a screen with VESA mount it can be used for a (cheap) digital signage solution as well. I only regret they don't have a model for the Raspberry PI IV.

I used this with a TV Hat and an original PiDrive. The hard drive fit is excellent but needs a M/F USB extender for the original piggy-back cable. The TV Hat requires a hole in the side near the slider where the SD card is accessed. This is messy and includes having to grind out some of the lid for it to click in place. You could use the added spacers but these are better glued in place to avoid the need for 2 pairs of hands. The box I received had no screws if you wanted to use the spacers. Well made and looks neat and a very close fit for the Pi board.

This case suits my needs better than the official cases - it has more room inside, can be expanded to accomodate a tall hat, and has wall mounting keyholes and VESA mounting option. The Pi is held securely in a clever two-part base design that clips together. Connectors are recessed which works great for me and makes the system very tidy.

Standard Pi Camera does not line up with hole in case unless it's fitted with the cable pointing downwards - in which case it can't reach the connector on the board. It lacks space to route cables between the layers. Needing external cable to route usb back inside to SATA is clumsy.

Bought this to use with a small HD for a kodi setup. The idea of the vesa shape is so you can mount the it on the back of a monitor. However the way the hdd is secured means that you have to run the connecting cable outside the case, which really defeats its purpose.

Case was advertised that it can take a hard drive, whilst not wrong, it does have space for one to fit, it has to have its own power supply & cables - if you're looking for a neat solution, this isn't it. Purely as a case, it is well constructed, & does come with a VESA mount, which can be removed easily, if not needed.
