“I found it a bit fiddly to get the Pi in the case but it was OK once I had worked out how to do it. The SSD fitted in fine but you need a reasonable length of cable to go from the SATA connector around to the USB ports.”
“It could do with a one page instruction sheet. But apart from that, it's brilliant - no tools required. The key important fact you need to know is that the wifi signal from PI3 gets through the plastic - not all black plastic cases allow this.”
“Great little case. Bought this case for dad, mum and brother to watch Movies in Plex bought the case as it supports VESA mouting brilliant case the pi fits in the case perfect. With this case its quite easy to install & remove the SD Card with ease. Another great thing is that it support a 2.5inch Hard Drive which would be useless if you were using the Pi for a Storage Server the case also has openings for the Power LED & Activity LED lights. HDMI Port, Power Port are also on the side while the 10/100 Ethernet Port & USB Ports are on the back. arrived fast also Thanks to thepihut shipping :)

“Overall, this is a good quality case, but the product description omits some important details. This case wasn't suitable for me, because my hard disk drive wouldn't fit.
Good points:
- The main case is a very nice quality. It's sturdy, and locating the parts against each other is easy. The two bottom layers clip together securely, while the top lid has a looser fit which is easy to remove for access to the GPIO.
- The spacers for additional height are a good idea. You'll need to use these spacers if you want to pass a ribbon cable out from the GPIO pins.
- Screws are optional, but you'll certainly need them to secure the lid if you want to mount it vertically or use the spacers.
- The rubber feet are good. Not too thick.
- There are no holes in the top surface of the lid. I like this because many other cases have holes in the top, and things occasionally fall though them.
- The LED light tunnels are great. Having two sets for the Pi v2 and v3 is a nice touch.
- There's quite a lot of room behind the camera hole. The "removable panel for SD card access" is also the face plate which has the camera hole, which isn't clear from the description. There's a lot of potential for DIY modifications here - perhaps using it as an anchor for a wifi antenna, microphone, or loudspeaker.
Bad points:
- There isn't enough room for my hard disk drive. The drive I intended to use is a 4TB Seagate Barracuda, which is 15mm thick. This case only provides approx. 10mm height for the hard drive - the product description didn't mention this. If you want to use a thick high-capacity drive, this case isn't for you.
- Connecting the hard disk drive to the Pi involves routing a cable outside of the case (i.e. plugging a cable into two different sides of the case) though this is clear enough from the product photo. There might be a risk of the cable being unplugged accidentally in some situations. Make sure your USB-to-SATA cable is long enough - some of the shorter ones won't reach around.
- Fitting the Quattro case inside the VESA frame is fiddly. It isn't obvious which way around it goes. Once it is inside the frame, there is a small retainer clip, but it doesn't feel like a very secure fit. I'm concerned it could fall out if it gets knocked, or if a stiff HDMI cable gets disturbed.
- The product description says it has a lockable lid with 4 security screws. However no screws were included, and I couldn't tell what kind of screws would be required.
- To access the SD card, you need to remove both the top lid and the camera face plate. This means taking removing the screws, if you are using them.
- The ventilation slots are on the bottom of the case. There are no ventilation openings above the PCB unless you use the spacers.”
“It’s a good quality plastic case. Very well designed, able to securely hold the pi without screws. The disk also fits snugly but screws are required and not provided for a better hold. It won’t work with the WD cable, since the usb cable is to short. But it wasn’t stated that it did work.”
