“The controller is as comfortable to use as a genuine Sony product with the analog sticks having a nice resistance to them. The buttons seem to have too much travel and the shoulder buttons are a bit vague. In Retropie there was definite lag.
My main issue is with the wireless connectivity which is not very good. I have used this unit with both Retropie and Recalbox on a Pi 4 and while it connects and sets up ok, it will frequently lose the connection meaning I have to reboot the system.
I know it's a case of 'you get what you pay for' but I was expecting better. I will be sticking with my wired 360 controller.”
“Initially both controllers orders were stiff, perhaps imperfections from moulding process. This became smoother over time. Occasionally, controller one will become controller two and vice versa, meaning that I’m controlling the wrong character, or if playing single player mode, control is lost completely. I’m not sure what I expected for the price. Too cheap! I recommend you pay a little more for something that doesn’t spoil your enjoyment.”
“I bought this wireless gamepad to control a robot made from some motors, a raspberry pi zero and BrickPi3 HAT. At first I was pretty dissappointed that the python code from the listing detected the buttons wrong, but after submitting a bug report on github everything was fixed within a week. Its now working great and am very happy with it.”
