Bought 2 and they both work out of the very nice box with retropie on my RPi4B. We haven't had a chance to try them with anything else yet but we have been violently putting them through their paces: heavy-handedly 2-Player blasting Mariokart, sonic, supermario bros and a bunch of retro arcade games for the last 10 days without any issues! Ordered 9pm on a Monday, dispatched 7am on Tuesday, delivered on Wednesday to a fairly remote area of Scotland. Properly boxed and padded for protection during transport. Both are solidly built and have a reasonably solid feel, no different to more "high-end" products. It's also really cool to be able to see the inner workings. If you forget to turn them off, they go to sleep after a short time to conserve battery and will wake up immediately on pressing the start button. Nice touch! Bonus Points for not being bluetooth (energy drain!) 2 small negatives: The trigger switches on both controllers feel like they need a bit of force and can be a bit clicky if you don't press them at the exactly correct angle. Once you figure this out, muscle memory will rid you of this issue within a half-hour of use and 'twill ne'er rear its ugly head again! The analogue sticks on one of the controllers feel a bit "sticky" (puntastic!) - it's difficult to describe but they are not as responsive as I would like and once they even got stuck in "turn right" and even though I could move the sticks as normal I couldn't get it out of right turn until I rebooted the system. It works perfectly 99.9% of the time though and I only noticed the sluggishness in the sticks because the sticks on the other controller are so smooth and are a match for any more expensive branded controllers, without the second controller to compare, I never would have known. It does indicate that there may be slight differences in quality control at the manufacturing stage though or else I was just a little unlucky. For me, this doesn't lose a star because it's not a noticeable issue if I don't regularly swap between the 2 controllers; I expected them to be far worse for the price and also it gives me an excuse to open up the less good controller and have a tinker on some rainy Sunday in the future (not necessary but just for fun). For the price, I would absolutely recommend this quality product.

Great controller for just £14. Only gripe is that the trigger buttons don’t feel as smooth and the rest of the buttons, but everything still works regardless. It’s handy having something that is plug and play via USB so you don’t have to worry about setting up Bluetooth (which can also zap some processing power on the older rpis)

Great. A bit tricky to set up initially, but I think that was down to us. An excellent Christmas present. Thank you.

Very good controller for the money. The only small negative is the trigger buttons are a little stiff at times to press in. Other than that a very good product.

Bought to complement the RPi4 I bought from the PiHut (strangely enough I'm using it for RetroPi) it so far works well (better than a keyboard anyway ). Biggest problem was finding the On Off switch which could have been made worse by adopting the colour scheme from Hotblack Desiato's spaceship.
