“I wanted to use this with the ZeroView (https://thepihut.com/collections/raspberry-pi-zero/products/zeroview), but there are two issues. First, the lens does not fit through the hole in the ZeroView; this was not unexpected but I wanted to mention it. Second, the cable is too short to be used with a (user-modified) ZeroView. Just a couple cm longer would have done the trick. Otherwise, it is exactly what I was expecting, and works just as I'd hoped. Now I need a different mount.”
“I purchased this fisheye lense to go with the Raspberry Pi Zero that I use as a dashcam in my car. This camera replaced the original Raspberry Pi camera I used previously and after a few days with this camera installed, I can honestly say the quality is outstanding! The only downside is that because of the increased field of view, the camera records files with a file size of around 30% more. Another slight downside is that the camera doesn’t perform as well in low light as the original camera but this is not an issue with me as I have LED headlights that provide more than enough light to clearly see ahead at 2:00AM. Would recommend to anyone looking to use a Raspberry Pi to record videos or take photos using a camera module.”
“I am just about to move and therefore have not tried the camera. The 5 stars is for the service that PiHut supplies and the excellent delivery times. Hope to 'play' when I move.”
“July2017.
Great value at £15. Wont work in low light.
I took some image grabs but cant post them here.
I've created a google doc with the grabs follow the link for more info.
