“Happy with the kit - but disappointed with the support. I'm in Canada and the battery could not be shipped here by mail. I received credit for it, although a bit on the low side, but could not get the info or a picture of the battery. Just it is 8800Mah - why not send me a photo of the battery with the markings on it, which would tell me the manufacturer, voltage, model number, etc.”
“This is a great kit. And it works.
One tip for folks in the US - they cannot ship the battery with it so you need to ask for the male connector for the JST connection so you can rig your own battery connection. Not a big deal. It's easy to do and you can use double aa batteries (I use rechargeables) since the LiPo rider they give you manages the voltage step up.
I've had fun with this. It's a great kit.
One last thought, The Pi Hit stands behind their products. The brass nuts were left out of my package when delivered and they got me a replacement quickly.”
“Nemt at samle og få op at køre. Instruktion kun på engelsk. Havde bestilt to styk, men der kom kun én. Fik dog refunderet betalingen for det ikke leverede, (selvom jeg i flere forsøg forsøgte at få dem til at sende den manglende levering, valgte de i stedet at refundere i stedet). Men alt i alt velfungerende.”
“An exellent Kit that works well and stores so far up to hundreds of photos. Teething troubles with the battery charging but a new board sent out straight away. I would reccomend this project.”
“An excellent bit of kit! Assembly is reasonably straightforward but be sure to read the online instructions very carefully and take full note of the diagrams. Worked straight from the box, producing good quality pictures of the bird table. A couple of very small niggles - it needs an exterior on/off switch to avoid a couple of dozen pictures taken whilst setting up, and I had to do a small mod with a bit of gaffer tape to keep one of the wires from being trapped in the case when closing it. Overall though - 11/10.”
“This is a great project for school kids and anyone interested in capturing nature unawares. The only problem is there is a supposed camera mount on the bottom. I don't know about cameras and tripods manufactured for European users, but it doesn't work with my tripod since I live in the US. It's a metric threaded insert. Obviously, I'll make an adapter. For the picture I submitted I used gorilla tape (duct tape). Going to try to attach a photo of the installation.
