“While I can't say that I am entirely dissatisfied with this controller, I'm also not completely happy with it. In terms of looks it is a bit too dark and the plastic for the main body is rougher than the original SNES controller; 2 aspects that immediately give the impression that it's cheap (which, in terms of price, it actually is). The ABXY buttons are a bit firm, but respond nicely. They are not glossy like the original, but that's no problem. Where this controller underperforms for me is the directional pad. It's spongey and I get a lot of unintentional (primarily up or down direction) button presses because of that. Not a huge problem for every game (but definitely for some, especially fighting games or platformers), although it can be frustrating from time to time.”
“great value for money, comes in a neat cardboard box. Does what it needs to do. Personally I think the playstation style controller feels better in the hand as has more buttons, but this is a good controller if it has enough buttons for your needs (to clarify this has select, start, x, y, a ,b and l and r trigger buttons).”
“Brought one of the Raspberry Pi Compatible USB Gamepad / Controller ("SNES" Style) for a small project I was working on.
Received it in a nice box that is perfect for storing the controller in when not in use too.
Found the controller nice to hold and use for games, however it has been a while since I've used a SNES controller and the buttons were a little stiff but maybe that was just me.
Overall the controller was great, buttons mapped perfectly and it's a great price for the build quality.”
“I have 2 of the more expensive iBuffalo controllers and there is next to no difference. Certainly not enough to warrant the higher price. I would rather get these controllers.”
