The PIR is working well and it has a longer range than I thought it would. Overall a good product for the price

This works like a charm. I am extremely impressed. I used it for a trail camera and can't wait to get it out in the woods to test it further.

I bought one of these a while ago. It worked ok but was delivered in a thin jiffy bag and the components on the PCB were very bent by the time I received them. I contacted PiHut and asked them to use cardboard boxes in the future. I ordered five or six of them a couple of weeks ago and they came in a thin jiffy bag again. All but one or two had bent components... Is it really too much to use better packaging? I'd be happy to pay the extra cost.

Works fine, needed to go on line to work out the 3 pins and what each did as it doesn't appear to be labelled.

It works but was a huge effort finding out how to use it. 1) It comes with no instructionsor even a link to a datasheet, this is dreadful - PiHut - please can you show just a little more customer respect? This appears to be a description of the device: http://henrysbench.capnfatz.com/henrys-bench/arduino-sensors-and-input/arduino-hc-sr501-motion-sensor-tutorial/ 2) You must use a stable supply voltage, I originally tried a battery driven voltage regulator but had all kinds of problems. Then used a lab power supply and it worked ok. Haven't tried it with a raspberry pi yet.
