“Tried to upgrade from the previous version but it wouldn't let me because it couldn't find the old license. Contacted tech support twice but got no response. Now the trial has expired and I can't use the software at all. Need better customer support.”
“Sound ID is definitely a new level in the evolution of SonarWorks. I love the resizeable interface, the larger output level adjustment, the fact that you can now select a range to correct vs. the entire spectrum, and you can more easily switch between profiles. Sound is great, the measurement software is still great.
What I don't like: The EQ. I felt the curves that Reference 4 had were very limited, but I did use the B&K 1974 curve. Sonarworks attempted a new method for creating curves in SoundID, but the controls are fiddly, and the filters are not accurate enough to re-create curves that would benefit mastering engineers or audiophiles, such as the B&K1974, or perhaps Bob Katz': flat from 0Hz to 1kHz, then slope downward toward 20kHz in a linear fashion. If the EQ were full-screen capable, or perhaps would allow the use of an external EQ VST plugin, now THAT would be phenomenal! That way, you could use any EQ plugin you wish, and I have some I truly would use for this purpose.”
“Love the studio calibration abilities. I am quite saddened that at this price, and overall quality of the software, that they do not include the profiles for all the earphones and headphones from Sound ID Listen and the old True Fi. Please do this for those of us that must travel light and do not have the room for bulky cans, and use professional IEM’s.”
“Its good to have the ability to hear my projects through a variety of simulations, especially the mix cube....just saved me a few hundred bucks!! ARC2 had these features, but I dropped that product once I purchased my first sonarworks product. This version seems to work better with my apollo twin also?!
thx”
