I like the new features, some of which were old features coming back. Thanks to listening to your customers. On the other hand I think the new UI is not really an improvement, I do not like the tendency to merge consumers and pro's into one brand or UI. As an audio professional I couldn't care less and preferred the "divide" in brand name, look and feel. I really have to criticise the ordering and update process though. I hardly ever saw a less comfortable and not thought through way of updating existing users to a new version. Also I think the improvements do not really justify the update price. € 29 would have been more appropriate. My biggest complaint is that one does not get a receipt automatically without having to contact support. This is unacceptable. Please get better with those disimprovements Apart from those points keep up the good work. I love your product and it was a gamechanger for a lot of us, for me undoubtedly.

The listening aspect works well from the audio handling perspective. And I love some of the concepts and what it's trying to accomplish. The UI definitely needs work, especially if you have to use multiple devices and switch between them. If you have only one configuration and you can set it and forget it then it's fine once the setup is complete. If they don't have the calibration data then things suddenly go off the rails. And while they have the data for lots of headphones, if you're using speakers you're in for a treat. Trying to calibrate your speakers has so many specific requirements and issues it's an absolutely horrible experience. Even when you manage to acquire all the specific components and set them up the way they require, it fails to calibrate more often than it works. For me after a ton of time invested I managed to get it to work once on one specific machine - and never messed with hit again. I was never able to get it to work on some other machines. Frankly, these days this should be crazy easy. Many modern audio components can do this at the push of a button. In the end, frankly, I don't think it's worth the cost. You can get more or less the same capabilities, and often more, for less money elsewhere.

The upgrade was and still is problematic. The online download tool was blocked by my security software. Activation was troublesome, but managed to fix that. Systemwide gives garbled sound and Sonarworks support still has not reacted with a solution. Whereas Ref4 worked seemlessly, SoundID currently is a headache.

I like the changes to the UI. It looks good and all functionality is easier to take in visually. At first it was difficult to understand the way you've organized the left column, as the grouping hierarchy is completely different, but I got used to it eventually. I'm also finding it difficult to understand how adding presets to the application menu dovetails with what I see in the plugin; I tried removing a preset from the app, and it continues to appear in the plugin. I haven't read through the documentation exhaustively yet, so maybe the answer's there, but keeping the preset menu organized properly isn't intuitive. The app seems to be able to make logical decisions about how to interact with Pro Tools' proprietary behavior towards sound drivers better than Reference 4, generally, although every once in a while it seems to get confused about sample rate and begins stuttering until I quit and relaunch. Some of your speaker emulation presets are great (I like your auratone mimic) but the ones that would be the most useful to me, personally, are the mobile phone and laptop presets and unfortunately I don't find those to be very accurate. But keep trying; I love the idea! I'm giving lots of negative feedback here but please know that generally I very much like the direction you've taken the product in, and I appreciate the pricing of your upgrade. Thank you so much for the fantastic software; it has given me a stunning amount of confidence in my speakers.
