The upgrade itself went very smooth and the new software works as expected. The new target modes and being able to set up different presets per output pair are really nice features!”

“I have used the Sonarworks system since the "reference 3" version. That time I worked in a not treated room and had a lot of issues with that. Even though with the calibration system I had amazing and consistent results given the condition, my mixes translated very well through different playback systems. Years later I moved to another place and now, even with a well treated room and a better monitoring system, I keep using the Sonarworks system (Sound ID - latest version) becouse it works. Period. It's one of the most important tools I have, it's one of the very feel tools I can't work without. If you can't trust your ears you can't make decisions property and everything become pointless. Every little step you can do in order to be more confident about your monitoring system really worths it. Sound ID is definitively one of the most effective ways to get better results without spending thousands.. and even spending thousands you should propably want to keep using the Sound ID! That's my humble opinion based on years of usage of the system with very satisfactory results!”

“Honestly, the upgrade wasn't really worth it. If Reference 3/4 was working fine, there isn't a reason to upgrade to SoundID. I only upgraded because I had a slight issue with Reference and Windows and upgrading fixed it. Otherwise, the new features and stuff of SoundID isn't much of an improvement to justify upgrading.”
