“The interface is nicer to look at but the functionality seems only marginally better. Nice to have zero latency but tbh I’d only ever trust linear phase for critical mixing. I use it only on a listen bus so the pop up warnings to disable it on mixdown that keep coming up on each new project are slightly annoying”
“Personally I found it easy to upgrade and above all calibrate my speakers. The result is excellent and certainly an improvement compared to my previous setup, keeping in mind that my project studio is quite problematic regarding the structure of the environment.”
“I originally purchased Reference 4 back in 2020, and just recently upgraded to SoundID Reference. Let me just say, Sonarworks has completely changed my mixing game.
It makes my room sound so much brighter and cleaner, removing a ton of muddiness and honestly just working magic on my speakers.
I don't have the money for a professional studio, but with Sonarworks I don't even feel like I need one.”
“I was an original owner of Sonarworks Studio 4 for headphones and monitors (it came with the measurement mic). I waited several years to upgrade to Sound ID Reference because it just seemed like a money grab. Wow, was I completely wrong! Not only is the upgrade more functional, the user interface is greatly improved as well. I remeasured my studio and my mixes translate even better than before. Long story short, don't wait to upgrade. Sound ID Reference is absolutely worth the price of entry!”
“The software significantly improved the accuracy of my studio monitors, making mixing and mastering tasks more reliable. It works very well with speakers and headphones.
I wish I could use the EQ function without measuring anything.”
