Yes, the flat profile will sound different than your usual headphones as there are no boosted frequencies across the frequency range. Simply speaking, if your headphones were harsh on the high end then SoundID Reference will reduce the harshness to make the sound more even.
It might take a moment to get used to, but when mastered, all your mixes will translate well to any other sound system.
