“Honestly, the only real "plus" now is that you have no limitations on the tone controls like you do with Ref 4. It doesn't actually sound any better or worse. The biggest aggravation is that as of 9 July, 2021 there is still no profile for the Focal Clear Mg, only the regular Clear. There ARE differences that necessitate a unique profile. These are mainstream and very popular headphones that have been out for nearly 4 months. This software can only do it's best work with the proper profile and I feel like Sonarworks is lagging on this. I requested the profile through the app when I bought the phones on day 1 of availability. Come on Sonarworks, support your app.”
“At first, when I bought Sonarworks Reference 4 Soundwide, I thought I would probably get a better mix or even better sound. But with the software stability and installation issues, I decided to put it aside and stop using it. Several months later, I thought about upgrading to the new ReferenceID 4 version now v.5. As usual, the installation problem arose. Then the software stability issue with Mac Big Sur gave me problems. The software did not stay connected to my audio card (Apollo Twin MKII). Frustrated with this waste of time, I decided to return the software for a refund. But the company does not seem to be in favor of my refund. It is said that after 14 days, we can be reimbursed "Without Hassle". Hmm ... we'll see. If you purchase this software, purchase it with PayPal to protect you.”

“upgrading is a hastle. finding relevant information on the website is very inconvenient. Support does need a very long time to get back to you. Your product kees are not automiticaly transfered to the new User account that came with the new Website Design.
it does look very nice, quite like ableton live, but it does not work well and has no proper, consistent coumunication-design for a basic. The dual customer targeting equaly weighted, consumer and profesionals. is not properly thought trough.
