“My experience setting up the software and measuring my room was pretty smooth, however it took me a while to figure out that I had direct monitoring on on my audio interface (only configurable in software and not on my interface, the Universal Audio Apollo Twin MKII) which interfered with the setup. I read the note in the setup screen about this, but didn't fully understand it until I had issues with feedback while doing the initial tests with the measurement microphone. I would recommend that the software be able to detect this feedback and provide more information on how to disable direct monitoring. Once I got past this after Googling, everything worked great.
I actually did an IG live of the entire setup process and posted an edited version on YouTube and my Instagram and my audience found it helpful and interesting. One of my music artist friends reached out after seeing my content and I believe ended up purchasing SoundID Reference + microphone as a result.

“It really is as good as people say. It fixed so much innacuracy in my studio monitors even in my less than ideal room. It's also fantastic for headphones. The setup process was well though out and easy to follow. SoundID is a game changer and I simply can't work without it anymore.”
“SoundID does work, I'm able to clearly hear when and where I'm off versus my reference track. There are a few niggles - the room measurement procedure during setup takes quite some time; and when disabling the SoundID plugin on my DAW's master bus, I still get a warning message that SoundID is enabled during rendering. Lastly, the outputs of my UMC1820 DAC's ADAT extension are not available from within the SoundID Windows sound driver. But overall I'd strongly recommend this solution for both studio monitors and headphone use.
I especially like being able to check how the mix translates across various different device profiles like Airpods and car stereos.”
