“I am not sure where the hype has come from for the Sonos arc, unless I am missing something. It sounds extremely flat with a tinny sound. My Panasonic JZ2000 is a much more enjoyable sound through normal TV. I’ve checked all connections including earc and purchased a top quality HDMi cable to no avail. It sounds just awfully flat, to the point I’ve now disconnected it and now back to TV speakers.”

“The arc is an excellent bit of kit, it looks and sounds great but to get the best out of it adding rear speakers is what makes it all impressive. On its own it’s great for watching tv and films, the speech clarity is very good compared to a traditional centre speaker in a 5.1 set up, but for music I felt it was a little lacking when compared to a full sized HomePod. Since adding rear speakers I can now say I am impressed with both music and film watching. The full set up offers excellent sound and it is true you can hear parts of familiar songs that you haven’t heard before! When watching a film I actually thought something had just run past me in the sound was so good. The set up is expensive but I have been genuinely impressed, so it’s been worth it.”

“What a great bit of kit. I bought it to upgrade from a Playbar. Out of the box, simple to set up and slot right into my SONOS home system. Sound is crystal clear. Got the Arc at a great price post Christmas too. An offer too good to refuse.”
